For almost a century, Watches of Switzerland has devoted itself to selling and servicing the finest Swiss timepieces housing the single most exclusive selection of luxury timepieces in all of the United Kingdom. When the organization decided to evolve the retail environments of their boutiques, they recognized that the in-store presentation was inconsistent with the level of luxury inherent with the products they were selling and the client expectation of the in-store experience.

RYA was retained to create a new prototype that would align the retail environment with the luxury merchandise and upscale clientele. This luxurious boutique would not only be the boutique of choice for purchasing the finest timepieces, but also an inviting experience that exudes sophisticated warmth. This was achieved through shapes and compositions that are very contemporary, but are tempered with the application of materials and textures that soften the lines and provide warmth. Sophistication is achieved through luxury materials such as hand-woven silk carpets, draw pulls handmade from carmel-colored horn with bronze fasteners, imported exotic stones, and state of the art lighting.

Starting with the Brompton Road boutique, RYA designed the first prototype and is continuing to evolve the prototype with the Oxford Street and Bond Street locations.
