Bloomingdale's San Francisco Centre

RYA continues the evolution of the Bloomingdale's brand image by designing its new store on Market Street in downtown San Francisco. Opening its doors in September 2006, the 338,000 square foot urban flagship is a premier retailing destination in the Bay area. Designed to offer a more intimate and specialized shopping experience, the five levels have been created as independent designs in Bloomingdale's own style, each catering to a specific product category and point of view. Natural daylight combined with state of the art theatrical lighting enhances an environment designed to inspire shoppers in a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. While the Y.E.S. level on the third floor houses Contemporary Women's Fashion in a modern, bright environment, Bridge and Designer shops on the second floor incorporate Bloomingdales signature dramatic black inframement. The "B-Way" on the street level, with its black and white checkerboard flooring, recalls the iconic 59th Street New York experience. RYA has developed a one-of-a-kind place of retreat for the busy city dweller and a "not-to-miss" destination for the San Francisco tourist, stunningly demonstrating Bloomingdale's reputation as a leader of fashion trends and customer services.
